Mid Life Crisis part #9
Mid Life Crisis part #9
Sorry about all the little chapters.May 8th.The early bird get his worm they say,so up @ 5:30 on the road by 6:30.Today is the Ram Head hike.No cars @ Saltpond, and I walked the trail to the beach. All to myself!Nice & cool, water calm. The trail wasn't all that bad, great view of Blue Cobblestone, and from Ram Head.I swear I could see the outline of ST.Crox from up there. Was I right?Again rugged beauty.I returned to Blue Cobbleston and snorkeled there. Not bad, interesting coral, fish. After that I snorkeled Salt Pond and people began showing up.I left for Haulover North. This one of my favorite snorkels.Man do I love this place!By now I was getting hungry, and that sad looking p.b.&j was not going to do the trick,so off to Skinny's.Great burger as normal, bought a tee shirt for my son and headed back to south Haulover.I love that place too!Tons of Conch today, nice coral,&fish.I spotted a turtle a followed him for a while. He was missing a right back flipper.I took some underwater pics of him thinking I would have some great shots, but none turn out.
I returned to Maho to rest my weary feet. The pic today is of this monster @ Caneel Bay,a few days before. He was the size of a small dog!

HELLO FROM MICHIGAN...
Jim,it was nice to have met you as well.I had to ask at the gathering where you might be.Then I tracked you down and soon realized you were "under the weather" From the way you looked I was pretty sure it wasn't the brown bottle flu.I hope you perked up for the rest of your trip. I think you do more in a day than I do in a week!
Nice to have met you, even though I felt like total crud...

You were right. That was St. Croix! Sounds like you had a great trip. How did you get around? Were you hitch hiking?

Got that right, buddy.
My entire left leg & foot was swollen & I was singing like Kermit, as far as "It's not easy Feeling Green"...- WAY WONKY...
I only wish it was a different situation, buddy.
I think something bit me...-
Amy, maybe...?
Great to have the memory of recognizing you just by seeing you, though, as lousy as I felt. I missed all you groovy forum folks...
We'll do it again!

The first few days on island I used a taxi and hitch hiked.I even used Rick G. one day!The last 3 days I rented a jeep so that I could explore the east end.I love the freedom of a Jeep! Parafins

Great to read the adventures of another Michigander, hopefully we'll run into you on island one of these days (or if not maybe on 'the mitten' somewhere....)
