We did it and the sun did shine and the sunset was beatiful

Post by sparis »

Hello all - I just wanted to thank everyone here that sent us good wishes for yesterday and gave a little extra hope for sunshine. We got it and the sunset on Trunk Bay was beautiful and the wedding ceremony as perfect as anyone could ask for. The noseeums had a feast, but we didn't care. Thank you to all for all your kind wishes and support. This forum has really been wonderful on so many levels.

We celebrated a bit too much :) at Asolare afterwards, so we're taking a slow day today at the villa, but what a day to do it - the sun is shining, a small breeze is blowing and we're here. Enough said. I'll do a full trip report when all is over, but a thank you again to everyone for all their well wishes.

Cheers!

Thanks for the update sparis! I know I'm not alone when I say that I was really hoping to hear how it all went. I checked the spicecam late in the day yesterday, and it looked promising. Yeah! Happy for you two!

We did it

CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES!!!
We did it too, on Peter Bay 11 years ago. Mixed clouds, showers and sun all day, but really beautiful for the ceremony.
You will have the most wonderful memories. We had a small embriodered pillow that was used to hold the rings, so they wouldnt fall in the sand. Today, we have it in a shadow box on our bedroom wall. It says "Celebrate the Time of your Life".
Do that, and keep doing that!!! Forever!!!

Congratulations! That is exactly where I wish I could have got married (but I didn't know about it 26 years ago). Many happy years together.
