I was about to post the same one, but I thought it might be kind of presumptious of me, who has yet to stay in a villa, to give recommendations to Tom.

But hey - if mary beth and I both think it looks promising...

If you don't mind me asking, what is your budget and what location do you prefer. I've stayed in several, and I have studied all the different web sites for day.

We would like to keep it under 7,000 and like the south shore Chocolate hole is where we have been staying but are open to other areas Don't want to be to far from Cruz bay because we will have another group up at the top of rock ridge.

Ambiance is 3 kings w/ a loft bedroom, so depending on the 4th bedrooms it may work for you. Its an awesome house.

Here are a couple more that made our short list in the past ... some w/ my random comments:

Cocotier: http://www.destinationstjohn.com/cocotier.htm
Hands down my favorite of what's available -"comparable bedrooms with baths ensuite, furnished with exotic teak and mahogany pieces from throughout the tropical world. The accompanying baths are spacious and attractive, with tumbled marble accents and showers that open to the sea but preserve your privacy."

Vistaero: http://www.destinationstjohn.com/vistaero.htm I like the rooms and the BIG ass white kitchen

Villa Colorado: http://www.seaviewhomes.com/villa_colorado.html
w/ 4 couples would be doable. More pictures...and more pictures http://www.villacolorado.com/

Argonauta: http://www.vacationvistas.com/argonauta ... _john.html

Southern Cross: http://www.seaviewhomes.com/southern_cross.htm $3600

Our family stayed at Cocotier a few years back (it was brand spanking new) and we loved it!

It is in Virgin Grand Estates though so ask about construction noise.

And, if you can, get the bedroom on the top floor :)! Lots of privacy and your own little deck. And it had one of the most comfortable beds I had ever slept on.

okay - I feel as if I've checked out EVERY 4-bedroom villa on the south and north shores of the island in and around that price range. We're going the first week of Feb. so your dates won't conflict with mine in case you like one of our choices! Take a look at these:

Villa Rendezview - w/ Island Getaways...this is our #1 pick - only lists 3 full baths as the lower level
bedrooms share a shower, not a problem for us, might be for you

Croix Vista w/ St. John Ultimate Villas - brand new in Skytop/Fish Bay area, looks beautiful, great price
considering how new it is.

Sea Forever - w/Catered To - an older villa on Chocolate Hole...just recently totally refurbished. Very reasonable price, looks quite nice in the pictures. The woman at Catered To says it's beautiful. Actually backs up to La Bella Vita, which also looks quite lovely and very new.

Those were our top picks. Maybe something there you'll like.

A couple I looked into for our group (haven't stayed at any):
Jazz Villa (Chocolate Hole Hillside)
Cielladonna or Kabej Patch (Chocolate Hole Harbor)

All are reasonably if not affordably priced. I also liked the looks of Villa Colorado (4 equal masters) but I think it's in Cruz Bay.

I've stayed at Cocotier and it is very nice. It would work fine for 4 couples. I've also stayed at Argonauta, but it looks booked for your dates.
