last minute discounts
Well as usual we are dreaming and scheming to put together a STJ trip this summer. I am always looking at the last minute specials page on caribbeanvilla.com, but wondered what other sites post last minute discounts. Any ideas?

I usually call or email most of the rental agencys and ask about specials for my time period. They usually have some that are not advertised. Last Feb I emailed www.greatcaribbeangetaways.com about a villa that was listed at $3000 and they discounted it to $2400. It never hurts to ask, Bookitvi.com and VRBO.com did the same thing when I contacted them. Take a couple minutes and send some emails, you might be surpried how many will discount their villas when asked, some money is better than none! Good Luck!

I've seen the "it never hurts to ask" work repeatedly for friends going to STJ over the years. Find the place(s) you want to stay that are available and call.
Most recently, a good friend was torn between two properties, one they wanted because of price, the other because of features. They called and the one they really wanted and they matched the price of the other one.
Doesn't hurt to ask.
