Price of liquor at STT airport vs on STJ?

Is it worth our while to buy our liquor in the duty free area at the airport, or just buy it once we get to STJ?

If it is only a matter of a couple of $'s...we won't bother.

Some premium brand are cheaper. We usually buy a bottle of Baileys but IMHO Cruzan rum and most wines are just as cheap at Peace Pine or Captains Quarter on St. John. If you need a bottle of something special, I would get it at the airport but I wouldn't haul a bunch of stuff over to save a couple $.

by the way, we found the standard 2 yr Cruzan to be a little cheaper in Coral Bay.....

Thnx, when we were there before we found it cheaper out there, was surprised. They also started marking it up as the week progressed.
