Langkawi

Post by Muhaha »

We will be heading to Langkawi, Malaysia in a couple of weeks. I'm curious if anyone from the forum has been there and any recommendations of places to see and places to eat? We are staying at the Four Seasons, and have a few things already planned - Coral park snorkel, cable car, and a mangrove tour. Looking for advice on those and other possible sights.

Sorry I can't help - but I just heard from some friends that they drive on the other side of the road there - like in the VI. True?

Sorry, I haven't been in Langkawi, Just want to tell
that we have been in Malaysia two times and have visited places, which I think is similar Langkawi - Tioman and Perhenthian Islands. Fantastic beaches and great snorkeling especially P.I..

Have a nice trip and please tell us about it in a report.

Please do post a report with plenty of photos. How did you end up going to Langkawi? I'm always curious when someone goes to a place that I've never even heard of.

Linne---

Even though you haven't been to this particular place in Malaysia, I still think you win the award for most widely travelled. The closest we've been is Thailand.

They drive on the left side in Malaysia.

Never been to Langkawi, but to the southern Thailand islands and that's very close to Langkawi geographically. So I expect it to be lush and mountinous and very beautiful.

Please post a trip report and pictures when you are back.

Actually, Linne and Maggy are probably tied for the most widely traveled.

Haha, we try and do our best. All for posting good trip reports  . I do feel that I was traveling more to different places earlier, before I discovered the Virgin islands. Got to shape up .
