Day 3-Pool Time

Post by FinsUp »

So for us New Englanders who haven't seen much of the sun since August, 2 beach days in a row does us in and we need to take a break. So we have found Day 3 to work as s pool day :D The first 2 years we tried to beach it every day and it was just too much for the Fins. Every one wins in this situation. I get to sit and read, Mr. Fins gets to surf with his Ipad and the boys play, play and play!!

We started out by having breakfast over on the "other side" this morning. Another favorite of The Fins- The Donkey Diner. Yum, Yum. I got a spinach, mushroom and swiss omelette and Mr.Fins had the Donkey Mess. The boys had pancakes. We were stuffed and very satisfied. If only we could start every day like that :D

Then it was back to the villa for some pooltime. Could not wait!!

They really are having fun but by this time in the week, they are sooo sick of me taking pictures they can't even fake it

I forgot to menton earlier that we had an additional traveller with us this trip..Flat Stanley. Fins 1 is reading Flat Stanley and was suppose to send him on his way the day we were leaving but Mr.Fins tried to simplify things for us and brought Flat Stanley to St. John with us. We had lots of fun photographing him. He's a great traveller and topic of conversation!

Here he is showing our view from our deck.

Lunch again at the villa, naps and happy hour

Dinner was a pizza and take out from Ronnie's Pizza, another "tradition" for us. Sometimes happy hour lasts a little longer than planned and we need to stay put and get dinner delivered

Ha-ha-ha...love Fins 1's expression. That is hilarious. Kind of how my husband and son are when I get camera happy. LOL

Thanks for pics and the trip reports. Really enjoying them. Loved the ones at the beach with all the "construction equipment". They really know how to play.

Great trip reports and pictures. Your boys are so cute!~

And there isn't and educator on the planet that doesn't know about Flat Stanley! It makes for a great project.

How fun...

Not an educator or a parent of any kid older than 3rd grade who doesn't know (or love) Flat Stanley!! He is lucky to have been to the Rock with you and your family! :D :D

Thanks all!! We actually had a lot of fun with Flat Stanley...he foreced us to stop and catch some Kodak Moments that we might not have. We stay at Sunset Ridge Villas...a 6 unit timeshare in Cruz Bay. We love it..fits us perfectly!! Pics of Mom and Dad are coming, next installments, haha. Although, there are usually not many pics of me as I'm the one behind the lens but Mr.Fins does a pretty good job stepping in sometimes. We also have been having the Fins snap pics of us..some come out pretty well, some not so good..LOL.

Fins,
Thanks for the reports. Your boys remind me of mine at the "play in the sand" age, both are now 12 and rather throw a ball in the water and snorkel. How was your stay at Sunset Ridge? We'll be there June 8)

That might be me in upper left hand of the picture of the youngest in tears. I think I was wondering what awful thing you where doing to him.

It is fun watching the boys grow from year to year. They are perfect gentlemen but still boys. We are enjoying your trip report.

It is always nice to see "our friends" from year to year..it's amazing how quickly that year goes by sometimes
