We got a great Mother's and Father's Day present

Post by cathys »

So excited!! Just had to share.

We will be on island from June 11 - 18 with our children and friends. The kids pitched in and gave us a gift certificate to Zozo's for dinner for just the two of us. We've never been there, but it has been on my bucket list for a long time. They are going to drop us off and then pick us up later. Nice quiet dinner for just us.

I think we are going to make reservations at the bar for Thursday night. What's the best time for reservations?

My ticker is 1 + 1. Woooohoooo!!!

we love it at the bar but no longer feel the need to be there for sunset. did it once. now we like to go later, like 8 or so. might want to give a call ASAP if you want a sunset spot at the bar. they are closed Sunday's I believe.
Enjoy!

They take reservations 30 days out! Here is the email address I used to make our reservation. ZoZo's Ristorante [john@zozos.net]

We are "newbies" to ZoZo's also we are are going for the first time sunset dinner at the bar routine. Sunset is at 6:53 pm on June 11th and 12th, and is approx a minute later as the week progresses! Maybe we will see you there!

Do you guys start out at the bar for the sunset and then move to a table, or do you have your whole meal at the bar? I've never been..what is the best way to go?

The bar is for dining only not for just sitting and having drinks. Although I think someone here mentioned they were able to do that once. Typically that is not how the bar is used.
You can sit in the lounge and then move to a table. The lounge is behind the bar but still with a decent view.

My mind is already in late May so excuse my jumping th gun on reservations :) Although I recall making resv. more than 30 days in advance.

If you are seated at the bar you stay at the bar for the entire meal. If you want to have a drink before dinner there is a lounge behind the bar where you can sit but it does not have the unobstructed views that the bar has.

Sitting at the bar can be fun if you are in the mood for it, you'll end up talking with everyone around you. John and I sit at the bar sometimes, but typically opt for a table in the restaurant because we usually only want to talk to each other.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
