Do we need to tip the people that manage villas?

We usually leave a tip in an envelope on the table for the cleaners when we leave. Don't usually leave a tip for the managers.

Most people don't, some do, you aren't expected to tip and we don't. The occasions I know of where people have tipped have usually been circumstances where the villa greeter went above and beyond his or her duties (ie, waited in the parking lot while the guests grocery shopped).

Boat crew usually get 15-20% of the total charter cost [minus fuel surcharge] - but as always it is determined by service, not mandatory.
