Bazile (last name) - private taxi - anyone know him?

Post by sparis »

Saw some people post on here about Rachel - taxi driver. Our villa manager recommended Bazile (his last name, forgetting his first name off the top of my head, something with a D) - when we called he was really nice, actually knew which flight we were coming in on, as apparently he was picking up others that Lisa recommended him to coming on the same flight. So looks like this won't quite be private, but we'll be sharing a van. Anyone know? We won't have to go to a dispatcher though. We just have to look for his sign.

Wanted to see if anyone had any info on this taxi service. I trust our villa person - Lisa of Vacation Vistas, but figured it didn't hurt to ask on the forum.

Thanks!

I have used Bazile for 8 years, he is wonderful, a bit of a character but always reliable and a safe driver.

We have used him a couple of times as well. Highly recommend (he may send another driver or his wife, if he's unavailable~no big deal, they are all professional and kind).

We used him twice. The first time was great. He held our luggage while we spent time in Charlotte Amalie, then drove us to the airport. The second time he didn't show up.

Thanks all, sounds like it should be fine.

But inuny, you said:

"We used him twice. The first time was great. He held our luggage while we spent time in Charlotte Amalie, then drove us to the airport. The second time he didn't show up."

What happened the second time? Did you get in touch and find out? Just curious. Thanks!

I wasn't there. It was my father-in-law and husband-they tried calling him-no answer. They just took a taxi.

We used Bazile several years ago, also at Lisa's recommendation. He was great. I believe Lisa made the arrangements when we arrived, but we called him for our departure. On the way home, we had a late flight out of STT, and he kept our bags all day allowing us to roam St. Thomas and shop.

Ahh Buffalo Gal - thanks! And we have a later flight on our return, so good to know that he's willing to hold bags, etc...
