So I ordered the 24 can cooler, and it is much larger than I thought ! LOL I am not sure that it will pass as a personal item ?! I think I may have to return and get the 12 pack..

The 24-can is too large to be a personal item. I bring that as my main carry on. Of course I just went to their website to double check that I was thinking about the right size, and I see they have cooler backpacks now! If you are going to exchange, I'd get one of those!

If you are concerned about getting on the plane with it, I can tell you that I have brought a full-size LL Bean hiking pack as my carry-on and the 24 can polar bear cooler as my 'personal item' for the past couple of years. The 24 can polar bear has always fit under the seat in front of me and no one has ever questioned me at the airport.

it is huge! We checked ours when we took it down. It was too big to take to the beach for the day, but was great for loading up all the supplies to take down. We now own both the 24 pack and the 12 pack (for beach days)- kind of want the backpack, too- love polar bear coolers!
