what to do.. Charlotte ferry or Red Hook...

Post by PaminMaine »

So down to the final plans for us..
I can't decide :? if I want to go to Red Hook and stop for some water etc on the way.. OR
Go right to Charlotte ferry and get water etc on St John..Our flight is in at 3 p.m.
We havent rented a vehicle, so maybe I should take advantage of the store on St Thomas since I am not sure of what is withing walking distance of Samuels cottages?
What do you all think??
Also, do you think Rachel will be all booked if I call for May 12th, not sure how far in advance she is full.

You will need a private taxi to take you shopping, so if that is your thought then you will need to call today.

I usually just aim for the Red Hook ferry since it is always running, you never know what will be going on with the downtown ferry.

Water is not the expensive thing to worry about, in my opinion and I would not want to deal with it on the ferry. Just buy it on STJ.

One of my pleasant surprises of trip this past February was $6.99 a case water at Starfish. Not a major label and not a typo $6.99.

Looks like the CA ferry leaves at 5:30. Would you want to wait that long?

I packed 2 rubbermaid water bottles.
Buy 1 (4) gallon case of water
Refill at STJ Ice.

So cheap and MUCH better for the environment. :)

 Good point! I forgot that the CA does not leave hourly like RH. Thanks.
