Pebble Cove?

Post by RickG »

Any recent experience with Pebble Cove? The reviews are pretty thin on this one. It's got a great setting on the water between Haulover South and Limetree Cove. I've been watching this one for years and it looks like they are now renting in the winter.

I've been watching it as well - I tried to rent it short term last fall, but our stay was too short to make it worth their while and/or paying the premium for the brevity of our visit.

I do like that location, though!

My husband and I stayed there several years back. It has wonderful views from the living area, the kitchen and the deck outside. It also has it's own "private beach" which has not a sand surface but is rocky. There is a long flight of stairs to get down to the beach and back. Not good if you have any mobility issues. The master bedroom is upstairs and has A/C. The bathroom is pretty dated but is all that you really need. On the floor underneath the main floor there is an outdoor shower and even an outdoor toilet. There were palms in pots around that area on the deck to give you privacy. My only issue was with the lock on the front double doors. It did not lock securely and we would tie a rope around the door knobs at night and hope for the best. That could have been repaired by now. It is a great place to stay but has many stairs........could be an issue with older folks or small kids. Hope this helps!

Booked for Thanksgiving 2011. The owner was very helpful and informative. Looking forward to the East End experience.

It will be nice to be fully tickered again.

I was eyeballing it for next June/July - met all reqs but a pool which was a deal breaker for our group. Curious to hear more about it. We are looking at cloud 9 in gifft hill, I think managed by the same folks.

Flip, some of favorite posters on the old CTR mailing loved Cloud 9 for the views. I've never seen that one, but it's one I watch. Those Western exposures are hot in the summer, but there's the pool.

Welcome back!

i'm a cloud 9 villas fan having stayed at one of their villas during 7 of 13 stj trips including 4 at cloud 9, our fav. while i have not stayed at pebbles, did tour her one dec (07?) while linda & allen were in residence. views are awesome but no sunsets like c9. like their other villas, she should be clean, well equipped & supplied but not luxury though maybe a step up from others since owners have usually used as residence during winters. bride passed on due to remoteness.

rick, you'll enjoy lower level watercloset since you could check crowds at ship wreck landing while "resting".

another point on c9. yes see catches a lot of afternoon sun but, all one level (unless you're having to use great room loft), there's a great gazebo outside kitchen/dining and the great room has an excellent split ac as do bedrooms. as for views, think of allesandra being 400 feet higher up. enough said.

Rick, know you will enjoy PC. I have often thought, a pool is nice but if you have the views and a great little beach to walk down a hundred steps to....Enjoy and I think you have booked a great one! This is on my short list for the S/O and myself when we aren't taking everyone else....six years later and we are still thinking when are we going by ourselves??!!

Hi all,
After having just gone through a massive search of villas on the island and settling on Cloud 9, I look forward to your review of PC. If it had had the pool, it would be tempting, plus, I want the sunset views over St. Thomas this year.
Have fun, look forward to your review!
