Welcome aboard! Although you've been lurking for some time, you decided to log in and join us anyway. That's brave.

We'll be there June 24 through July 5. Let's meet at the Beach Bar Sunday and toss a few down.

This will be our first trip during Carnival. We'll have to plan our comings and goings on July 4th. I am told that there is almost no motor vehicle access to Cruz Bay that day.

Welcome! I am hoping for both of you that the new lot by the tennis courts will be open come Carnival- you definitely will not be able to get into Cruz Bay when the parade is going on. But you don't want to miss it- the parade is awesome! Starts down near Mongoose and goes in front of the park then up the road past Woody's. We used to go in late June to the Westin and took a taxi into town. Realy fun- enjoy!

We enjoyed that time of year on STJ. A couple of years ago we spent the day in town to see the parade.

Fun but it was a very long and hot day. I remember eating at the food stands late morning. The parade is something to see. It started hours after the designated time. Next time, I think we will figure out a way to park outside of the parade area so we can leave on our own schedule. That year, we watched the fire works from the National Park dock, I think.

We left on July 4 last year. We went to town each night. One night we went to see bands. Another night we were at Rhumb Lines and the bands over on the stage (set up in that public parking area) were so loud, the bass rattled my chest the entire time. Our son loved, loved, loved the kids area.

We'll be down for Carnival too! July 1-10 staying at both Maho and Concordia. carnival is a first for us too. I'm also hoping the water is warmer than lat time we went (May! LOL). A BB gathering on the 2nd sounds fun!

Oh forgot to say I'm traveling with my hubby leaving the kiddos at home with grandma and grandpa and my BFF from elementary school is going to be there the same time we are!
