Low Key prescription snorkel mask?

Post by mindehankins »

Well, another trip has come around and I never got around to getting a prescription snorkel mask! I tried, but they said it was going to take a month.

So I'm wondering about Low Key and their masks. They are the place right by the Beach Bar, right? Can someone give me their phone number? Do you think they can pretty much have any lenses I might need?

My other option is going to get contacts again, which I HATE, but I'll do it to be able to see under the sea....

Minde, I have really bad vision and i used a prescription mask from Cruz Bay Watersports in the Lumberyard Complex and was able to see great!! I thought, sure, I won't be able to see anything, but it was well worth it. Enjoy!

You might try a local dive shop. My dh has horrible vision. Both extremely nearsighted and astigmatism. Local dive shop carried prescription lenses that were simply plus and minus corrections no astigmatism, that could be put into masks they carried. He got some that corrected his nearsightedness only, got them while we waited, and even though his major astig. was not corrected, it worked great for snorkeling. He preferred it to his contacts.

Most definitely you can order the prescription lens through your local professional dive shop so that they got properly fitted. I got mine maybe 7 years ago, never a regret.

Ben, I love your snorkel mask story!

I guess I need to find phone numbers for Low Key and the place in the Lumberyard, and am glad to hear that I don't have to get contacts!

I got mine there, and it took less than 30 minutes, and was cheaper than Low Key.
