Carryon Luggage?

Ok - I know this has been asked a million times but my computer is not allowing me to search old posts for some reason. Our first trip is in July with our family of four. I am looking at what type of bags we have around the house to bring. My son has a large addidas bag/duffel bag that would work great but want to make sure the measurements are right. It is hard to measure when empty but it looks like it is 12 inches in height and the length looks to be about 24 inches. Is this ok to use?

Each airlines publishes its allowable dimensions for carry on. You should look that up on whatever carrier you are flying...
