Carry on only question..

Post by PaminMaine »

I am planning a trip with my 2 twenty-something daughters and I have broke the news that we will be doing carry on only. I did some research for Jet Blues luggage specs ( 45 inches (length + width + height). The maximum dimensions cannot exceed any of the following measurements: 22" long x 14" wide x 9" tall)
Does that mean that I can have any combination L x W x H not to exceed 45 in total..or do I have to make sure my bag is only 9 inches tall? Need to shop to get a new bag and any info would be helpful.

My daughter had a problem with one air line that wouldn't take her cary on (that we always take) because the wheels stuck out so it (just barely) did not fit in their little measruing thing. Just to be sure I am going to check on that before we go agian. FYI...We take the cary on and a back pack, that way we get a good deal of stuff in.

The 9 inches is a fixed number. That is the height of the bin. I have seen longer stuff carried on, but that height is set. The depth of the bin could also be a problem. Try to stay within their guidelines. Luggage stores know what they can and fit in a bin.

Have a great trip.
