Cell service in Coral Bay

Post by cool breeze »

Question for my forum family. My lovely wife and I will be staying in Coral Bay for the first time, we usually stay in the chocolate hole area and was curious as to what the cell service is like on that side of the island. we never really payed attention to our phones when we would venture over to that side. I know that Verizon is a challenge no matter what part of the island you are on due to the tower being in PR. Was wondering if the throw away AT&T phones or a long distance calling card would be the way to go.
Appreciate any info.

NewsofStJohn.com has a story about this very thing this morning.

It's my story - happened to me. AT&T was very good, though in elmininating the charges.

I used an AT & T Go phone (throw away) and had good reception everywhere.

We have Sprint and while staying on Bordeaux Mtn last year picked up the BVI towers most of the time we were on that side of the island.

We used an AT&T Prepaid Go Phone during our stay in Coral Bay. Worked great!

Thank you all for the feedback, looks like the AT&T throw away's are the way to go.
