Carry-on/ beach bag

Post by Xislandgirl »

I am looking for a new bag. I will use it as my "personal" item carry-on so I need it to hold, tickets, travel food, quart ziploc, etc. and I need it to work as an effective beach bag while on island.

I do not want an LL Bean tote or a Vera Bradley.
Any suggestions?

I have a nylon beach bag from Eddie Bauer that folds up into a small pouch. Its very roomy but has no interior compartments, just one zip section on the inside. I used it last summer as my carry on to Hawaii. It held a ton of stuff, almost too much, but the lack of a diviided interior made finding stuff harder.

You should consider the forum tote. It's small enough to be a "personal item" but large enough to put a small person inside. It's a good bag!

I ordered this one from Zappos. I love Zappos....free shipping both ways and it usually arrives in a day or two. I haven't used the bag yet, but it is very spacious and cute too.

Its a little pricey but I love my seabag (love supporting the woman owned US company too)!

Hubby got me the large blue anchor for Christmas a few year ago and its my go to bag. It only has one small pocket at the top which is perfect for my phone and a couple of smaller things. The rest of the bag is just open. I use smaller zip bags to organize everything I need for the trip. Love the longer handles for over the shoulder carrying!

Dump it all out once I am there and use it for towels, beach stuff once on STJ.
