Search feature doesn't work anymore?

Post by mindehankins »

Anyone else having problems with the search feature, since the forum change? When I type anything in there, I initially get the search results and then the screen locks to a blank...

Which one - the text link above (which is the built in forum search) or the Google Custom search box in the top right hand corner?

Anthony, the google custom search. I never even noticed the other search button! I just tried it and it worked, but the google custom search, that I've always used in the past, doesn't.
I'm not tech savvy enough to tell you what browser I use, or anything like that. I see others posting that such and such works or doesn't, depending on browsers, sometimes. Maybe that's it?

It probably is just a browser issue - maybe a Javascript conflict, etc. I am actually to the point of having to restart my computer several times a day (shades of 1995!) just to keep most websites running smoothly. There is so much going on behind the browser window nowadays and many things conflict with each other when you start to add them to a site -

I'm not able to stay 'logged in' these days.
Whether it's just browsing/lurking or jumping from PM's to the forum, I'm getting automatically logged off.
Trying to tell me something, Anthony...?

I figured as much, Anthony. No problem! Thanks for considering the question!
I don't have the logging out problem that Jim's having, for the record...

Correction....
I guess I don't post enough to have noticed...
I DO have the same problem as Jim! When I post and then go back to the forum, if I want to post again, I need to sign in again.
It's not a problem, Anthony, but I thought you should know.
