OK it's done.. As some of you might remember I posted a while back asking for input regarding a STJ trip sans kids. Well, I took the leap and just booked airfare for November-sans kids!! I have to admit I have mixed emotions but am excited!!

We only do STJ without our kids (5, 8, 12). We talk about taking them at some point – like when they can buy their own ticket.

Is everyone from the forum going in november? We'll be there 5-12 or something like that.

We've been there for Halloween the last few years sans kids.

This year we won't be leaving them at home, since we'll become empty nesters once school starts, but we will be on the island earlier than usual - early to mid-October, so that I can get back in time for high school soccer tryouts...

Fins - welcome to the "two-ticker zone"!

We went to the same school of parenting! I was afraid to say it on the last thread...

Now that mine are grown, I would love for them to go - but they still have to buy their own ticket (and buy me painkillers)!

St. John is the only vacation we ever take sans kids. The first time we were very torn – it lasted right up until we got onto the ferry and headed toward that beautiful island. We go back every year and have learned to leave the guilt at home with the kids. Enjoy!
