First time to STJ/boat charter

Post by CantWait4STJ »

Hi, this is my first time on this forum and our first trip to St. John. We're arriving March 25th and leaving April 1st. We're staying in Splash Villa and we're wondering if anyone has ever stayed there before and what it was like? The pics are pretty amazing, just hope our experience there will be, too!

We've also booked Palm Tree Charters for Saturday, March 26th. We are hoping to find another couple who'd want to go in on the cost. We're first timers, so the itinerary is pretty open. We'd love to do a lot of snorkeling, a trip to Jost and some of the beach bars, etc. We're in our mid to late 40s, and looking to split the cost (there are 4 of us in our group, so we'd need one other couple). Think it's possible to find someone here?

Any other tips, recommendations, ideas for us would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Welcome to the Forum!

The very first villa that we stayed at in June of 2000 was Splash Villa. It was very different then - the wood was natural and not painted. We loved it. The pool in the house is a very cool feature and you are right on the water. I think you'll love it. I've been back to the island 20 times since then and my 21st trip is in May. I hope you love it too.

We went out with Palm Tree in January with other Forumites and had a great time. I hope you find another couple or two to join you.

Have an amazing trip!

Welcome! You have started out on a great foot with the villa and boat charter! I think you will love both.

Some friends stayed at Splash a few years ago and we hung out there with them a lot (we were at the Westin)- it's a great villa. Great to hang out on the patio and watch the boats in GCB. Kitchen is well stocked, decorated well. It's really easy to get to, also.

Palm Tree is the best! We were just out with him last week. Sure wish we could get back there again and join ya'll, but here is the best place, I think, to find potential people to share the charter. Have a blast- you will LOVE it!

Welcome aboard. You are going to love it. There aren't too many people who come to STJ and don't love it.

Although you said this is your first time on the Forum, I sense that you have been lurking for a while. You probably have everything you need except that third couple. Good luck and have a wonderful first trip.

Man it's like some dream we live down here....
