Post by Capn Dan and Ruby »

Just finished watching House Hunters International... St. John. What a sweet couple! I am so glad that they got such a nice house! Welcome to St. John!

I stayed up last night to watch it too. They seem to be a really nice family who've planned for quite some time to get their piece of heaven. They visited many islands,St John only once, and knew right away that STJ was the one. See, there really is magic here! :)
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

It sounds like they're describing the couple who decided to buy on STJ after only one trip. They renamed their villa Magic View.

I just saw one with a couple from Philly. They ended up buying in Pt. Rendevous but I'm wondering about the condo they looked at first. I have no idea where that might be located. Anyone see it?

Not sure if I am thinking of the right episode but I think it was Sirenusa maybe?

I think it is an older episode, if it is the same one I am thinking of. I saw it quite a while ago, so maybe we are thinking of 2 different episodes

Yeah, it was Sirenusa.

Here's info on the episode:

I'm not sure the name of the villa they picked on Point Rendezvous.

If you're thinking of the House Hunters with the couple "Grace and Harith", the villa they looked at but didnt buy was Villa Venturoso http://villaventuroso.com/
It was right next door to the villa we stayed in last November, and the view looking straight out from the lanai is of the Sirenusa condos(the condo they looked at first) which they were still working on

I couldn't believe that episode because they took out beautiful expensive counter tops and replaced them with something that looked much worse in my opinion (I'm talking about the older episode where they looked at Sirenusa).

I'll have to watch it again. I didn't notice a change in the counter tops. I definitely noticed they replaced a brand new stainless steel stove with a high dollar range. Didn't quite understand that one. I have a 2-oven, 8 burner stainless commercial range myself, but at home, I definitely wouldn't put it in my vacation home. To each their own, I guess.
And the realtor estimated the utility bills on that house to be $2,000-$4,000 a month, was that really accurate? I just can't even imagine.

yes, that was the one. I don't recall anything about counter tops either. must have missed it.
