Been going to the Lime Inn for over 20 years and I still love it. It's a St. John institution.
Skinny's is equally notable, but in contrast embodies the Coral Bay community culture. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there.
My mother loves Sweet Plantains and we went there to celebrate both our anniversaries last year. However, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the meal that night.
Shipwreck is also memorable, but I haven't been there in a decade.
I've had more Donkey Diner pizzas than I can recall. My father loves taking us for Sunday brunch.
Hands down the best kitchen on the island is ours. Between a Greek mother and Thai wife, all who visit eat well.

1. Sheila's Pot. FANTASTIC lady and fantastic food. Plus you get enough food in one $10 meal to feed 3 people. A must as far as I'm concerned.
2. Cafe Roma. YUM! Pizza and pasta are both great.
3. Aqua Bistro. On Friday they have a tuna dish that is fantastic. I forget the name of it, but it's delicious. And you can only get it on Friday. (The appetizer portion is more than enough, by the way.)
4. Beach Bar - especially the crab dip.

Forgot to mention Mojo's for breakfast.
Great omelettes/ breakfast buttitos... Not sure if it was called "spanish" or "southern", but regardless, it was slammin'.
Hopefully we're talking about the same place in Wharfside village. Kinda' across the street from the G-Spot,near all of the shopping...
Yummo breakfast!

We like Jakes & Tamarind Inn for breakfast, Baked IntheSun, Skinny Legs, and Tourist Trap for lunch and Asolare, Lime Inn, La Plancha, and Cruz Bay Prime at the Westin for dinner. I'm getting hungry; be there Thursday! Wahoo!

When we were there a few weeks ago, there was a sign that said it was open for lunch, but we did not stop (sorry - Tourist Trap it was!). There were alot of people milling around near the shops, so I would guess the grill may be open. Perhaps PIA would know for sure.Bumblebee2 wrote:Wow, great responses so far!
Thank You to everyone for sharing your tips!
Does anyone know if the space formerly held by Chateau Bordeaux is vacant? What about the outdoor grill on the left side of the building? I believe Loretta used to open for lunch there.

If ya get real brave, try topping all of that off by nekkid dining in town.mahojim wrote:I think I'm going to start a new official tradition of "Nude Food Dining" this trip. Maybe start with "pizza by the pool", not sure..."shish-keboobs" could get freaky with those pointy skewers, and fondues could end up being painful, as well...-not sure we're ready for all that, yet...

Only been once, but our favorites were:
Zozo's,
Sunday brunch at Miss Lucy's,
Skinny Legs and
Uncle Joe's.
Going back in a couple of weeks and we'll revisit our favorites and hopefully get to Sweet Plantains, Rhumblines, Shipwreck Landing ...
Oh, and Ted's Supper Club is coming by the villa one night for our special anniversary dinner.
Who said you have to go on a cruise to put on weight when you're on vacation??

I'm with Bev and Randy as to staying on the Coral Bay side, however I must add Aqua Bistro to the mix.I think that MJ is a terrific chef and the bar has become one of my favorites.
When you find yourself in a hole.... quit digging.
