wow! So excited to see your report and pictures. Love the one with the octopus! It is funny how favorites change each trip. Gibney was definitely our favorite this year and always good to score a parking place. You have such a way with descriptions that makes you feel like we are right there too!

fantastic report- can't wait for more!

LOVE your pics! What do you shoot with? This trip I am only taking my small point and shoot- hope I don't regret it  but it's the Canon G11 and I love it! Easier to cart around than my big DSLR...... but man your shots are beautiful!

Great trip report so far - love the sunset photos and Gibney shots.

The road out to Coral Bay is crazy damaged. We were always a bit nervous when we drove out of Coral Bay - some of those drop offs are super steep. When were leaving the road crew was out putting more solid orange barriers out - when we arrived in early Jan, it was just orange cones.

Thanks again for taking the time to report.

Becky---I was very excited to see your trip report---I always look forward to them. We stayed in 2D at Gallows (briefly) two years ago---gorgeous sunset view. I'm looking forward to more food shots in your second installment!

Becky, glad you found a car with Mr. Cline! They always do what they can to help people.

I think your pics made me 'homesick'. Need to talk my wife into doing what you and your husband did. But we don't have ice in the driveway, just desert dust. :) Great photos! And our favorite beach for anytime is Maho.

Thanks everyone!

All of the underwater pictures were taken with the canon D10. The above ground pictures are either with the D10 or else with a canon rebel.

Augie, I decided to save Presidio del Mar for the next trip. Maybe we could coordinate our groups dates and split the rental.

Iowaguy, I have lots more food photos, including of my two favorite meals of the trip. I bet you can guess which restaurants they were at!

Next installment later this afternoon.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
