Planning a one day trip to BVI, which one to do? Poll

Post by mdxter »

We will be in STT in Aug. and had plans on taking a day trip to Tortolla. But after researching throughout this forum, all of the BVI sounds wonderful. We love beaches (swimming and snorkeling) but i think with this trip over to the BVI, it will be just sightseeing (including beaches).

Thanks,

Private air charter to Anegada, beach at Loblolly and lunch at Big Bamboo!!

The ferry to JVD is good too.

Tortola really begs for a rental jeep.

If you want to do the beach thing then rent a private power boat, with or without a captain depending on your experience and island hop. If you want to sight see then get a Jeep on Tortola and drive the island as Rick said.

From the responses so far, if i only have a day on this trip, I should go to Tortolla and rent a jeep.

I will take the early ferry from Red Hook to Tortolla, rent a jeep from the West end, and tour the island. That is what i originally planned because i thought that it's the biggest island and the best one for sight seeing. Next time, i will do the JVD and then Virgin Gorda. Thanks everyone for your input.
