Took an Eastern Carribean cruise last week that stopped at St. Thomas, so you know I decided to go to St. John for the day. I recorded this 7 footer swimming in the middle of the day right by me.

That is so cool! Three things I have not seen at STJ yet and really want to see. An eagle ray, an octopus, and a nurse shark. I am so jealous!

That's a cool video! I don't think I could follow it like that though. I'd hate for it to feel threatened. Question: In the caribbean, is shark activity similar to dolphins & whales? Cuz it seems that there has been more talk of shark sightings on the forum the last couple months (winter months).

Just my Canon Powershot SD780 IS in an underwater housing.

Cool...We were snorkeling Scott Beach last week and saw two of those. My wife kicked it in overdrive to get back to the beach!!

I was probably around 8 feet away at the end. I've been closer to much scarier things during wreck dives.
