I read in today's Tradewinds that the ACC has fired long-term shelter manager Connie Joseph. They are hoping to replace her with a new administrator who has computer skills that they can use to promote the shelter and raise income via web-based and print marketing as well as manage the business side and the volunteers at the shelter. I don't know how many of you subscribe to Tradewinds, so I am putting this here as an FYI for those of you who are interested.
One quote from the article:
“We needed someone who had a lot more technical ability because we found we were able to generate much more income through the Web,” said the ACC president. “It really became a completely different job.”

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
