New cyclone fence at Franklin Powell park?!?!?!

Post by tjwgrr »

What's up with the cyclone fence they're installing at Franklin Powell Park? Hopefully this is just temporary during the park's re-construction, although it looks permanent and horrible. :(

No See Um's Blog has a photo.

Wow that will surely change the look of things for a bit. I hope they will be done by June. Don't they have vendors there during the Carnival month?

I had the natural "Ugh, sucks that there will be construction when I'm there." reaction, at first.

But, the reality is, you can't simply snap your fingers and make improvements. Long term, its probably will spruce up the appearance nicely and benefit everyone - locals and tourists alike. I hope the small businesses like Shela's Pot, etc. aren't too inconvenienced by the construction.
