CT/MA/NY/NJ? Forum get together

Post by Xislandgirl »

We have talked about this many times and never got anywhere so I have decided it is time to take the bull by the horns, so to speak, and plan something.

I think we had all talked about meeting at one of the Casinos so here are my thoughts:

Mohegan Sun
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville
Dinner and drinks

Based on Calendar of Events so we don't go on a big event night
Saturday March 19th or Saturday March 26th

Is anyone interested?????

I'd consider it but neither of those dates work for us. But carry on and have fun! :)
(the 19th could work but I'd have no idea until closer to the date so if it ends up being that date I will keep it in mind)

I would love to meet up with you all. Unfortunately, March 19th I will be down in NJ for my neice to be's shower. This is already a 6+ hour trip for me so turning around and doing it the following week would be pretty hard. Hope to meet at some point. Have a blast!

I might be a bit selfish but I think I speak for those of us in Northern CT and MA when I, NYC is just not convenient to get to without sitting on a train for 3+ hours, or driving for an hour and then a 2+ hour train ride.

I am sure there may be a group from the NY/NJ area that would want to plan something in the city.

We can make either of those dates. On the 19th the Judds are in town, but it might not be a problem if we meet early enough.
The only way I would consider a NYC meeting iis if it were held in the afternoon. Plus the Casino is really a destination place with lots to do.
Thanks D.

Jim - Mohegan Sun is a casino in CT. Margaritaville is one of its' restaurant choices. I've never been there, but I think we drove past it once heading for nephews graduation in MA. Don't know where in Jersey you are but for us (Bergen Co.) it would be 3hrs or so.

Sounds like a great idea, but we won't be able to make those dates. Although we will be at Mohegan on the 4/7 & 4/8.

We are also heading down to Mohegan for KC on 4/8.

Also, even though I don't have my ticker setup, our villa and air is booked for a return to STJ this summer.

Life is good.

Cheers,
