Morgan Point Villa?

Post by Paul »

Recently, I asked for some villa suggestions for my wife and I for our upcomming trip in June. We received a lot of great suggestions. Unfortunately, the ones we really liked are already booked. Our hope was to find a villa with a great view, pool, privacy, AC and preferrably close to Cruz Bay for $2000-$2500. What about Morgan Point? Has anyone stayed there recently? I know it is an older property, but appears to be well maintained. No view from the pool to speak of, but the views from the deck look great. The price is certainly right. Any opinions?

I stayed in July...my review is posted. It's a great house...older but maintained like it's new. No real view from the pool...you can see some water by peeking through the bushes, but the deck can't be beat. Location's great, price is great...all around a wonderful house

We stayed at Morgan Point about 1 1/2 years ago. It is an older villa, kitchen is older & small & one bathroom is obviously an add-on, but you can't beat the covered deck & view. You will live out there! Another great thing about the villa is that it is fully a/c. Although, we didn't need it much in the great room because it has sliders that open on both ends & the breeze flows through. It does have an odd layout. You walk through the laundry room from the carport (another good feature - the carport); the hot tub is on one side of the house & the pool on the other. You have to come out the house through the carport & a bit down the driveway to the pool. No access to the pool or hot tub from the deck. The grill is on the carport side of the house - not where the view is on the deck. They have a printer for your use to print boarding passes. The kitchen & house is well equipped. The price is right. And, if you are renting through Carefree Getaways, they were great during our stay. Even called to check on us & kept us updated during a power outage. Good luck with your decision & have fun!

You mean I wasn't just drunk every time I used it and felt like I was walking off the side of the hill? Interesting...

lol - it was on quite an incline. Our son stayed in the bedroom that had the "bathroom on an incline", but he would shower in the hall bath. I think the bathroom in his room scared him a bit.
