Loria - The Smithereens will be recording a new album this year. The ‘reens drummer Dennis Diken has a recent release called “Late Music” with a throwback pop sound you might want to sample on iTunes.

That was my pick for Maggy too.mindehankins wrote:Maggy: #4 is incorrect? (If I'm right, I give my turn to anyone else, cause I've had mine).

I'll play...it took me a while to think of 4 things!
1. I was married on the same day the Manson Family killed Sharon Tate.
2. I rappelled down a 180 ft. cliff in Mexico.
3. I waited on cars on roller skates at a drive-in restaurant.
4. I can see the rings around Saturn through my telescope from my patio.

Liamsaunt wins! I never waited on cars on rollerskates.
But I was married on the same day Sharon Tate was killed! We will have our 42nd anniversary on August 9th this year.
Against all that I thought I'd ever do, I did rapel down a 180 ft. cliff in Los Cabos, Mexico. Me rapelling in Mexico: http://www.pbase.com/thegripps/image/109311805
I can see Saturn's rings and 4 of Jupiter's moons with my telescope from my patio. My telescope: http://i51.tinypic.com/258tnno.jpg

Hihi, this was fun.
# 1 - I have been stopped and questioned 1981 for accidently bringing a sandwich with meat from the plane with me. I was 21 and had no idea I couldn't do that. They kept me for 30 minutes and I was not too happy. It was my first visit to the US.
# 2 - also true. I was so scared of the fishes. I was scared of many things when I was young.
# 3 - false - I have been to NZ twice and first time I wanted to jump and my husband said "if you jump I won't look", so I skipped it. We went jetboating instead. Next time in NZ I was with this very adventorous (sp?) friend and now I thought I was going to jump. But she refused as she was scared of hights. So I didn't want to do it by myself.

It was a typo! But, you are correct MaryBeth and Jim, I do not have a petroglyph tattoo.
And here are the stories behind the truths:
1. I was actually supposed to skip both third and fourth grades, but that would have put me in the same classroom as my sister and my parents didn't want us in the same room at school. I don't think they really skip people ahead much anymore, and I agree with that decision. After fourth grade I ended up having to transfer out to another school and lied about my age to my new schoolmates to avoid social pariahville.
3. #1: broken collarbone from trapeze accident. #2. broken wrist from playground kickball accident. #3. broken wrist (same one) from high school softball team accident. #4. broken finger from accidentally slamming it in a car door. #’s 5-8: broken toes from falling down a flight of stairs. #9: broken wrist (same one…again) from falling backwards off a dance dance revolution type arcade platform. Yeah I am a klutz.
#4: self explanatory. I also played the snare drum.
Why don't you both go next?

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
