Timewarp: what's changed on STJ in 3 years?

Post by Ondine »

Hi All,
I may be back on STJ after, choke, gasp, almost 3 years away from this special island....time flies. What has changed? Any favorites that are now gone? Any hot new places to try? Im more of the Coral Bay side of things, but love it all....thanks so much for anything you think to share......cant wait, this will be very soon in Feb.
Cheers!

Many things - but to start --- the old , very artistic and extremely funkadelic sign collection at the triangle was removed and replaced with an orderly arrangement.

How awful! I hope that beyond that and the major roundabout, that things remain relatively untouched.....I assume all the tried and true still carry, island blues, donkey diner, vies, and shipwreck are still relatively intact despite a ruff economy for all.....thx for anything that comes to mind, I cant wait to feel that islands energy again, so special.

Does anyone have a photo of the old corner Coral Bay sign? I'd love to see the difference. Here's the new sign.
