* Snorkel: Whistling Cay
East side of Haulover North
A mangrove snorkel

* Hike: the White Cliffs Trail
(from Lamshur to Reef Bay)

* Eat: Sogos
Patrick's
(got to Hercules before it burned but wanted to go back and try the salt fish)

You can't let these things go by for too long.

Oh Bill, I've got a story for you. Steve and I tried to find this trail last month. We ended up on what amounted to a goat track. I turned around to come back down to the beach at Europa Bay, and somehow impaled myself on a tree. We freaked for a bit when we saw how deeply I gashed myself, and then hightailed it back to the Jeep at Lameshur, drove back to Coral Bay to get my insurance card, and then went to Myrah Keating, where the fine doctor and nurse gave me 12 stitches and sent me on my way. We never did go back to take another stab (no pun intended) at finding the trail. I'd be really interested to know if you have more success in March. Keep me posted.

White Cliffs Trail: Gerald Singer just featured this on his blog with a detailed description of how to hike it. Here:

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Lovermont: Oh no. You are the second couple we know who've tried it and had to back down. By the way sorry for the trip to Myrah Keating. They are nice there aren't they? But the couple we did the full moon hike to Rams Head with you last year tried, lost the trail and backed down also. I feel the pangs of obsession coming on. We head down in mid March. If we make it I'll post a picture.

liamsaunt: I've printed out that blog and have had it stuffed in my travel diary since last year. Thank you.

This is our year to hit the bucket list big time. Want to do:
Go solo, Vie's, Holover North, an out of the way beach or 2, Stay in the beach cottage on Lovango, Dive the Rhone, eat at the Tourist Trap, and Sogo's. We figure we can chip away at a lengthy list each year. One thing is to take my children an their families.

Hmmm... I had his original write-up with me when I tried this. Looks like he was out there this month so the trail exists.
This is certainly on my bucket list for the future!
