I'm with Bill, also an owner and happy to answer questions. Lots of good deals up there at the moment.

The Sunset Ridge home owners Assoc. has done alot of work on the place in the last 4 years and its a much better place than in the past. It has a awesome view, is very quiet and is large for a timeshare, sleeping 6 or 8 counting the pull-out sofa. It is high on the hill and can be hot during the day but as long as there's a breeze it is comfortable at night. I wish it had A/C in the bedrooms so if you need that, I don't want to lie, it my not be the place for you. Google it "Sunset Ridge Villas St. John" for some pictures, it may surprise you! I found it as a last minute special 5 years ago and love it there but I was never one to rent high end villas either.

we never rent high end either.....do the units have fans....ceiling and/or box/stand fans? I don't mind that.....LOL...we've camped at Cinnamon a couple of times...so you can tell we are not "fancy"!

The units have ceiling fans in living room and ceiling & box/ standing in bedrooms. We have experienced both hot nights and comfortable nights as you will in non A/C units in June. We also stayed in Feb. once and it was comfortable every night.

We own the last week of March/first of April at SRV. My husband is a huge AC/fan lover. I must admit, we were hesitant in buying without AC but at that time of year, it has been a non issue. The box fans and ceiling fans work just fine. I'm sure in June, it could be a different story. We stumbled upon the deal 4 years ago and SOOO happy we did... :D We're not high end villa people either. Suits our needs just fine!!

very cool! Does SRV have a website that people generally use to rent their villas? I didn't see any on VRBO....it's like a secret club or something! We are still in the planning stages of our 10 day trip back to St. John....but we've always been intrigued by SRV.....maybe even to purchase???

Try these guys for rental info - and I know Pia and her husband Les could help you out if you're interested in purchasing a unit. There are several for sale at much less than what we paid a few years ago.

I would never forget you, Scott. You checked in on me a few years ago when I was up at SRV with just my son! That was so sweet! We will be there in June with a group of newbies. We will see you and buy you that drink!!

The home owner's assoc. website is:

http://instapage.org/sunsetridgevillas/

with links to Cimmaron Property Mgt who can guide you for sales or rentals. Also there is a nice article in there on what we got done this year. Also we are posted on VBRO with some nice pictures:
