Old San Juan
Old San Juan
Looking at a long weekend the first of February in San Juan, PR... have been there several times, but not in a couple of years. I would love to know of any new sightseeing or restaurants in Old San Juan that you have discovered in the past two or three years. Thanks for any ideas you are willing to offer.

I am familiar with the name "Trois Cent Onze", but we have never eaten there; it is good to know that the reputation is a valid one. Maybe this year will be the year to try it.
Thank you for responding! Hoping that this new year will be wonderful for you and your loved ones.

I have not been to this restaurant myself, but a good friend who lives in PR went there recently and e-mailed me to ask when I was coming down because he'd found a restaurant I would love.

Though there are lots of restaurants in Old San Juan, my favorite is in Condado. It is a Cuban place called, Yerbabuena. It's on Ashford Avenue not far from the Marriott.
Have a great trip!

AireNumo sounds very good and has terrific reviews on Tripadvisor... nice to get a personal recommendation!
Thank you!

Our 'Friday night til Monday afternoon' in San Juan zipped by so fast. We were flying JetBlue for the first time... all went well.
Our room in the Hilton Caribe villas was the worse Hilton room ever! We were part of a group of about 100. Reception foods were not outstanding... prices were.
Buffet banquet was very good and fairly well priced. Breakfasts were fine. Overall, the resort seemed a little tired or maybe we had become jaded on the third stay. The open air lobby, main building spaces, and the pool and beach areas are still very nice.
Sunday afternoon we took a cab to old San Juan, walked along the Paseo de la Princesa, sipped some rum and lime drinks in a plaza while listening to a fellow singing ballads, then walked over to AireNumo, but brunch is the only meal they serve on Sunday. We were diappointed as we had continued to hear good things about this restaurant.
I am slowly putting some photos up on Flickr:

Thanks for the restaurant suggestions and the "have fun" wishes... we did.
Thank you!
