Help me name our boat

Post by flip-flop »

After about 5 years of managing to put off my hubby's desire for a boat, I finally caved and now we are the proud owners of a small boat. 22 Seadoo Islandia.

I am having one heck of a time settling on a name and having a no name boat just isn't good luck.

Taking all suggestions. Front runners right now are, in no particular order:

- Til St. John
- St. John Girl (as we know all boats are girls)
- Dream Girl (reference to a dave matthews song, but I think it needs to be more of a yacht to qualify for this)

i grew up in new england fishing towns and the default was yoru daughter or your wife--so our boat is the Miss Lucy--however, i think flip flop or whatever your daughter'sname is would be perfect and traditional

My Dad could not decide on a name for his boat. I am named after him so he couldn't use my name. My Mother has passed so that wasn't really an option either. He finally decided on "Damfino" which is his way of saying "Dam if I know". You have received some great suggestions, I am sure you'll come up with something.

Give it a little alliteration and femininity. How 'bout "Lameshur Lady"?

If not let's try "Coral Babe"

Do you like "Soggy Dollar Barge"?

Cuz we don't like people very much.

Our boat is named "Island Time" and our now departed sailboat was named "Jumbie."

My kayak is "Tispy."

Missing St. John. As always.
