...that we are going back in March!!! Wow, never been "in season" as we always go in early-mid December!! Any differences anyone??? Also, villa hunting fast and furious and we are strongly considering Esprit on Bordeaux Mountain and would appreciate any info if any of you have experience with that one! St. John soon come....
Lucky you! We were able to squeeze a March trip in 2010 in addition to our annual early December trip. We noticed that it was a bit busier, but it didn't really impact us negatively, because we get off the beaten path a lot of time. We were just comparing photos the other night, and our March trip definitely had better weather than the trip earlier this month. Sorry, can't help you with villa ideas. I'm sure you guys will find something great though. Have fun!

Congratulations on your return trip in March! It is definitely busier in the High Season, but Coral Bay typically stays fairly quiet. We have never stayed at Esprit, but a couple of years ago we stayed on Bourdeaux mountain when we were hunting for a villa to buy. Bourdeax mountain is very nice, but is different in that it feels and smells much more tropical (humid, damp, etc.). It definitely had a different feel from the places we previously stayed. Breezes and views are good depending how the villa is situated. We did eventually buy a villa on Calabash Boom if you are interested in a smaller, more intimate home for your stay. http://www.vrbo.com/116923

Since we have a time-share we have no choice but to travel to STJ in March. We where there once for my daughter's wedding in mid-December and like loververmont found the weather a little better in March. It is somewhat busier but if you take the time to plan your visits to the more popular spots like early morning until about llAM, Trunk Bay is all yours. After that you can head out for somewhere less popular. We like hiking into places and often find ourselves alone or close to it. Plan on going to Skinnys a little earlier or a little later and you'll be fine.
And of course you can find someone like lovermont to drag you along on a moonrise hike to Ramshead.
