Austraila
Austraila ok my son made the USA world championship team this year they are being held in Brisbane I'm planning on going over for at least 3 weeks one to watch him and at least to to see the sights what should I do trying to figure out if I should fly into Brisbane and out of some other city? Any one know how the commuter airlines are there it they have some thing like jet bule?
Tom
i am pretty sure that quantas has a regional air aspect--and there is also rex (i think)--when are you going? depending on the time of year, i would say you might want to consider flying out of Cairns--and taking a bit of time to explore the daintree and the Reef--should you decide to get out to the reef--go with a smaller operator--you will have a much better experience!
< leaving on the 22nd of march...but too lame to figure out the ticker thing again!>
look into Air newzealand--they have very comfortable planes and their steerage wasn't bad at all--(but you usually end up stopping in auckland on the way--another thing that ANZ does is they offer a 'free' stop off in fiji/tahiti (or the surrounding area) so you could spend a few days there --- that might be a nice way to cut things up!

Oh yes, if you can get a free stop in Fiji you should definitely consider it. You'll be p.o.'d at yourself when you're flying over the reddest sky you have ever seen in your life and realize it's over Fiji and you aren't stopping there. That is exactly what happened to me when I flew to Sydney (only 18 hours non-stop from this side of North America).
October/November is a nice time to be over there. Not too hot yet.
Congrats to your son!
