Mini Gromit Grounded Me! No STJ for Gromit

Post by Gromit »

So, we had another awful mini-gromit scare on Wednesday night. Actually, awful doesn't even begin to describe the horrible experience.

The good news is that mini-gromit is OK and happy as a clam apparently, but the bad news is I'm grounded from traveling until these scary episodes stop.

In the words of my OB, "STJ is not in the cards for you right now. THe last place you need to be is on a plane or an island somewhere and have this happen again."

So a "staycation" it is. The owners of Sailview were super nice about the last minute cancellation.

Mr. Gromit and I are terribly bummed about not being able to get on the plane Friday AM but we are so relieved that Mini-Gromit is OK and seems to be doing perfectly fine despite these episodes which should hopefully stop after we get past week 14.

I was SO looking forward to meeting some new folks tomorrow night and to spend the week with Lovermont and her hubby.

But Mini-Gromit is more important right now and we just have to look forward to visiting STJ AFTER the little one arrives safe and sound.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the warm fuzzies and I am sorry about having to miss out on all the fun. But sometimes life and the universe has other plans.

((Hugs))

O Gromit! i am so sorry--but really glad that mini Gromit is ok--these things can be scary--but the good news is that they generally are just that --scary --and then everything s fine--i guess you have to expect a little scary when alien invaders take over your body!--
I will say a paryer to the pregnancy goddess for you and mini you!

be well.

Glad to hear everything turned out fine, Gromit. Means this will probably be one strong kid!
And when Mini G asks you "How much do you love me, Mommy?", you can pull out the ultimate sacrifice card and say "Honey, I gave up STJ just so I could hold you in my arms!" Now that's love! :D
Friends, they go away then they re-appear...I believe there is Magic here.

oh gromit...oh how I can relate....I will tell you from experience that you wouldn't have had a great time on stj while having pregnancy troubles. I was maybe 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd..staying WATER FREAKING ISLAND...and was bleeding....thought for sure this was "it"...nothing I could do really....a horribly stressful week...not much of a vacation at all...went back to Boston to find the little bean all well and fine...but I so wish I didn't worry for a whole week while being out of touch with docs and such.....Stj will still be here when your FAMILY is ready....take time to bake the little bean...all will be worth it!

Gromit, I don't think that I have ever responded to any of your posts before, but I do love reading all your stuff! You have a super writing style!!! I am all about this baby!! We have 2 grown ones and their families (including the Super Paxton... our fabulous grandson!) and are planning to Finally take them to STJ next year. We are late in lifers.Children are are definatly worth taking the time for! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Take special care, and the sacrifice (though it be great!) is worth it!!!
