Favorite Boat trip to BVIs
I have a two part question.
1.Name your Favorite charter boat company to the BVIs and why
2.Where is your favorite spot or spots to go
My group will be returning in Feb 2011. We went out with Josh and Lion in Da Sun (great time) in Feb 2008 and Ocean Runner Feb.2009.
Both trips were pretty much he same, snorkel spot,Sandy Spit, Taboo's for lunch. Foxy's and Soggy dollar for beach and beer.
Has anyone done Cooper Island, Baths? Willys T's?
We really enjoyed the trip with Josh and Lionin Da Sun but he has moved on so just looking for some ideas of a different boat or destination!

Captain John Brandi, Palm Tree Charters! We have been to the Bath's. Nice, but once was enough as it takes up alot of the day. John will go to any of the places you mentioned. We just did out third trip with him. It is always very enjoyable and we will definitely book with him again
.
Going "home" again October 26th!
We have been to a number the places you mention--the Baths, Cooper Island, Peter Island, Norman Island. The Baths is interesting, but quite a haul and was too crowded for my taste when we visited. The Indians (snorkel), Cooper Island (for lunch), Willie T's (for a jump off the boat) might be a good route.

Captain Kevin on Born to Rhumb. www.borntorhumb.com Always an awesome day and Kevin will suggest some great spots for your trip.
We used Born to Rhumb for a Snorkel stop-Sopers Hole-Cooper Island-Soggy Dollar day. Nice roomy boat.
This was three years ago and at the time, Cooper Island was having some management issues. I remember this because the person at the next table was interviewing for the manager's job. It was a nice stop, the food was good. I would go back again if I was in the area.
We visited Foxy's on that trip and were the only people there so we didn't get the full "experience"
In February 2010, we went out with Motor Yacht Cinnamon Bay. I have raved about the boat ever since. Loved it! Did a snorkel stop (great) and Jost.
We stopped at Jost for lunch and the name of the place completely escapes me right now, it is the bar where you make your own drinks and is famous for lobster. The food was good but I don't know if I would go out of my way to stop there again. We wanted to sit outside, under the roof, to enjoy the view. The women working there made us sit inside, which sort of pissed me off. (I did ask to set us up outside - NO!) I could have pushed the issue but didn't want to "work" that hard on vacation. Also, I used to bartender so the serve yourself novelty was lost on me.
We also sailed on Scubadu 5 years ago, that is a very nice cat.

That's Sydney's. I think they had hurricane damage this season.PA Girl wrote:We stopped at Jost for lunch and the name of the place completely escapes me right now, it is the bar where you make your own drinks and is famous for lobster. Does anyone know if they are open?
