Spig...I hear ya What part of Michigan are you from? We are just outside Grand Rapids and it has been snowing ALL day. I can not wait until Monday when I can put my toes in the sand
Hey you two, I'm from Michigan also. It is blowing and snowing here also. Not very nice at all but we knew it had to come. I'm from Frankfort and we are in for the long haul as we were down that way in Oct but can look forward to a May trip-hmmm how many days is that?

Ugh! It's nasty in Western New York, too. People have been stranded in their cars all night. I'm not ready for it, and I can't believe one month ago I was on the beach in St. John. I've got my photos to keep me warm through the long winter.
Buff Gal I was shocked to hear that they had people stranded on the Thruway already. Hope you are safe and warm and I also hope that you don't share your snow with Rochester, I am fine with our inch or so. Be safe everyone!
Yesterday, the weather in PA was bizarre. 61 degrees at 6:30 am with epic rains (4 inches in something like 8 hours) and 50 mph winds. By 11am, there was hail. By bedtime, it was 30 degrees.
The "lake effect" snow machine is on here in Holland too. I've got a looooong cold wait until STJ. Until May I'll have to live through the trip reports and web cam checks daily.
Thanks, Barb. I was home safe and warm, but areas south of us got about 18 inches. I'm a little north of the city, and we have about 6-8 inches. (More than I like.) There are still people stranded on the Thruway! Nothing like a big dose of holiday white!
Wayyyy down here in Jamestown, we're doing great! We got maybe an inch, in the Southern Tier. GLAD it skipped us, and sorry for you up in Buffalo, there!
I have family in Grand Rapids, and hear you guys have plenty.
