I feel like a Newbie, Solomon?
We want to try a beach that we have never been to and I am ashamed to say that we have never been to Solomon.
So....
How do we get there?

Shocking X......never been to a most beautiful beach like Soloman? Wellllll, you need to take care of that straight away! Take the Lind point Trail or go to Caneel and take the Honey Moon beach trail, or arrive by boat. Either way you get there it will be worth it!Xislandgirl wrote:We want to try a beach that we have never been to and I am ashamed to say that we have never been to Solomon.

It really isn't a bad walk from either direction. The most trouble I have is lugging the chairs and coolers. Someone needs to invent beach chairs that you can carry like a back pack!

There are backpack style beach chairs available -- I have 2 different ones - both have a nice storage pocket and one even has a small cooler pouch. I found them both here on STT at Cost-u-less at different times.
They have comfortable padded shoulder straps, are really easy to carry, very comfortable and cost in the $40-50 range here.

FYI depending on how the rains have been it can be buggy/muddy on the trail, but so worth it! Here's a picture I found online of the beach just to get you excited about it:

Tommy Bahama makes backpack beach chairs. They have a strap that clicks to hold them closed while you are carrying them, plus headrests, a cup holder, two big zippered pouches in the back, as well as a small zippered side pocket for your jeep key.CariBert wrote:Xislandgirl wrote:Someone needs to invent beach chairs that you can carry like a back pack!

X, I would go in from Caneel. Much easier than Lind Point--not that Lind Point is hard but the way in from Caneel is flat until you get past Honeymoon.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
This chair is really great http://www.everywherechair.com/kel-rbc.html It's light weight and easy to carry. I recommend them highly.
