We just wired our deposit for a 10-day February trip to Anguilla.
We have NEVER planned a trip so late! I used to book our favorite STJ villa 11 months in advance.
Truth be told, I was dragging my feet in silent protest of being taken away from STJ. 3/4 of the travelling crew wanted to try something new so what is a gal to do?
Have a great time! I would bet that if you have any questions you can pm Joe and Rachelle (JoePagan) to see if they would share info with you as they split their trips between STJ and Anguilla and they are incredibly kind people too. Send lots of pictures. Enjoy!
You will enjoy the trip. Anguilla is a lovely place - different from St. John, but I think it's beautiful. St. Martin and St. Bart's are right there if you need to do something different!
California Girl wrote:I'm WAY jealous! Please please post a report & pictures when you get back! Oh, and you have to eat at Blanchard's! Take lots of money!
The plan is to have my 40th b-day dinner there! I adored her book.
Anguilla is wonderful - you will love it. Have lunch at Gwen's one day...beautiful beach, best rum punch on the island, grouper sandwich w/ the best pasta salad, and you have a perfect afternoon. Straw Hat for dinner will not disappoint.

You MUST do a trip report.
Sadly, Gwen's was destroyed by fire the other day but the Anguilla forum is predicting a quick rebuild.
I am both thrilled and overwhelmed as I think about all the great places to eat.
