I'm so glad to hear you are doing well, but so sorry you've had to endure it all! We've had some really difficult things happen in the last 6 weeks and it really does put everything in perspective.

We are joining you in not stressing over the little things and I now marvel at what I once thought was stress!

Happy Thanksgiving and I wish you great health in the new year!

God Bless you Lysa and best wishes for your continued recovery.

I really like your list of priorities to remember:
1. how important the people in your lives are,
2. how to put things in perspective,
3. how important it is to ask for help and take it when it's offered,
4. how love and laughter are the best things in the world.

Life is precious and we need to remember to live each new day with a smile and keep love in our lives.

Thank you for sharing and I sincerely hope the worst of it is behind you...forever.

And thank you for reminding us of to remember what is truly important. In the past 12 months both my husband (just about your age Lysa) and mother have been hospitlized via the ER...giving us all quite a scare (all doing well now)...maybe these things happen to give us the nudge we need to remember the tremendous gifts we have been given. Or maybe they just happen and if we are smart we turn the lemons into lemondade.

Wishing you a wonderful thanksgiving.

Thank you all so much and I hope everyone had a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones!

My nieces turned 7 & 5 over Thanksgiving. I remember helping my brother with both of them as infants and, well, I can't belive how fast the years go by.

Don't spend time stressing out over little things. Instead, spend it doing something happy & fun everyday, even for a few minutes, and with the people who bring you the most joy.

Thanks Lysa, glad you are recovering and celebrating!

I just got back from bringing dinner to a friend whose husband has recently been diagnosed (late 40's) with leukemia.

There is another friend of mine whose husband is getting ready to die (any day) of brain cancer.

It is a real eye-opener.

We do need to try to enjoy every moment and take the time for the people we care about. We never know when the stuff that is supposed to happen to "someone else" will happen to us.
