food prices Thanksgiving

My trip to Cost-U-Less tonite:
Russet Potatoes 1.19 lb
Jumbo Onion - .65 Lb
Swiss cheese imported -2 lb package sliced 10.99
Blueberries pint 4.39
Basic 4 cereal Gen. Mills 4.49
frozen Italian bread 3.59
half and half Qt. 2.99 expires 12/21
Nathans Beef Franks 3 lb. package 12.99
Spiral cut 1/2 Ham -- 2.49 lb-- 10 lb ham
Pork tenderloin 24 oz seasoned, in Cryovac 6.99
Russet Potato chips - large 13.5 oz pack3.99
Rotisserie Chicken - whole ,hot - 5.99
12 pk Diet Coke 4.39
Snyders hard pretzels Box 3.19

Except for the Nathans Franks --- these items were all in normal size packages - and the hot dogs are for a beach party Sunday! And the Spiral ham is for a Thanksgiving feast.

is it the newyork in me? that sounds totally reasonable...(maybe it was meant to and i amjust being to literal)
I just spent almost 50 bucks on a TURKEY (and it was 16 pounds--so not like a huge bird) happy thanksgiving exit. enjoy your party--

some of those prices are cheaper than I can get.

Wow that's one expensive bird. Years ago when I started doing T-Day I would go to the butcher and get an expensive bird I recall $3.00+ per lb.Last year got a Shadybrook frozen one (shhh don't tell my mother) and could not tell the difference. This year bagged one on sale for .29 a pound!

Loria, yes, it's the NY'er in you b/c those prices are high to me :)

And a beach party with hot dogs...that sounds wonderful! We were in the 70s the other day and now it's cold and rainy :(
