Christmas Toy Drive for the kids on St. John
Hi!
For those of you who know, it's that time again!
For those of you who are new to the Forum since last Christmas, here's the deal: some of us send toys to the less fortunate kids on St. John for Christmas. The adults have a wrapping party to get them all gift wrapped, and then there's a big party for the kids where they receive all the donated toys. We aren't the only ones donating, our toys go in with toys collected from all over. I'm ashamed to admit that I can't remember the official name of the group who does this.
Pia has generously offered to be our St. John contact to mail the toys to. Since it takes a while for packages to arrive, especially THIS time of year, it would be a good idea to get things in the mail SOON!
Pia, can you find out the date of the wrapping party?

I always look forward to this! I buy toys on sale after Christmas and save them till the next year... I get some real great deals that way!

I'll find out the date asap but it is usually 2 weeks before Christmas (give or take 
)
I would love to collect again - you all have been so generous in the past (I think this is the 4th year I have collected?) and the comment last year was that without the forum as almost no toys were collected on island so many children would have gone without.
It takes approx 5 to 12 days for Priority Mail to reach me with the average being 7 or 8 but the closer we get to Christmas packages do take longer.

Is there any way you can get an idea of what the teens would like? Having a teenager myself, it isn't easy.
Clothes, nail polish? Flat iron? Is there a "status" brand of clothing they might like....for example aeropostale or something...a lot of the summer stuff is on sale now.
