Ok, so maybe I've lived here too long, but I would LOVE to have one of those containers :D Seriously, no joke.

Half acre - 2 cisterns - a livable dry place to sleep and cook and has 3 bathrooms and parking for $315 K - in STJ!! - Looks like a great start.
Maybe it could be a ClubHouse for this club I have been reading about??

Actually, some very interesting designs are being developed, better then having these containers become unused rustung hulks. Please excuse the pun... but it's thinking outside the box.

Sailorgirl - Those are some cool designs, for sure. I think the concept is interesting. The problem here might be that the execution of the concept is underwhelming.

Now, finish this out with some decks, paint the containers and put in interesting windows, etc... you might have something!

Actually, that looks a lot like ME and MY COUSIN!

By the way, I ran into an old friend the other day, whom I hadn't seen in years. He introduced me to his wife and daughter... Trouble is, there was only ONE woman with him!! Just kidding! I'm a kidder...

You know, we get stereotyped a lot here in East Tennessee, but if I was to throw up a few steel shipping containers amongst the "wonderful, large rock formations, huge trees and wildlife" here on Rocky Top, put in a toilet and fancy "curved glass shower" and tried to sell it, most of you all (and Jeff Foxworthy) would call me a "Red Neck." But somehow, perched there on a hillside in Coral Bay St. John it has a certain "class" to it, doesn't it?
