Trip Report #3

Post by suzi »

Fri. Apr.6
woke to a little less noise today. I really didn't mind getting up early...no time to waste!!! I am NOT a morning person and really HATE getting up in the morning...but when I am in STJ, the earlier, the better. Sometimes in the middle of the night ( say 2 or 3 a.m., I will get up and go out on the balcony and just marvel at the stars and how quiet everything is. also loved watching the activity in the morning from the balcony, and watching Cruz Bay come to life. Oh good grief...I am getting teary- eyed just talking about it!!!
this day we went to Cinnamon Bay...the girls favorite...gee, do you think it is because there are always BOYS there???? They couldn't go to Cinnamon on the first day, because they were not tan enuf...oh geez...were we ever like that???
Our favorite thing to do at Cinnamon is to snorkel all the way around the cay. Well...we were sorely disappointed because we did not see a single thing!!!!!!!! Maybe it was the time of day. Later in the day we snorkeled to the right and it was excellent!
Joes BBQ and Candies were both closed tonight, so we just made burgers at home.
As an aside,We always eat breakfast at home. Then I pack a cooler for the day with sandwiches, fruit, drinks and snacks and plenty of water. By the way, The grapes that Starfish Market gets are fabulous and so sweet for the beach!
Next up...Baths trip with Stormy Petrol!!! Stay tuned!

Suzi - I do the same thing. I've never been a heavy sleeper and even on STJ, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night. I love to go outside and just listen. It's one of the most peaceful moments in my otherwise mile-a-minute life.

I love when the moon rises in the early morning. Going to bed with nothing but the lights of St. Thomas and waking in the middle of the night with moonlight strong enough to throw a shadow and the view laid out before me. Cool... Something I could never capture with a camera.

Full moon May 2! We'll be on island, NOT at Miss Lucy's.

Cheers, RickG

Thanks for the report. I love to take those big grapes and freeze them and take them to the beach.

Hey sea
You better be careful of that girl of yours. My son when we were down in 05 would go right up and ask for girls numbers not like when he is at home and shy like his dad. The girls were all very good about it and gave them to him must be something about being in love city
