hey all.....planning our June 2011 trip..(9th time to St John...love it! )....we are planning 9 nights this time...thinking of *trying* 2 nights at Maho....I can't wrap my head around how can 2 adults and 2 kids stay in one of their tents? Can anyone fill me in?

Iluv- Jost to STT is not a big deal you stop at STJ on the way back. Just stay on boat. If you have a PM flight then you would defintiely make it without problem.
Another option is to go to Tortola and take ferry from there to STT. Just check the ferry schedules.
Might be worth a check. Although you have to factor in ferry costs for 4 into the pricing which may make Maho seem like a bargain in comparison.
